Default Hondata S300 In Si.

I have a 2000 Si. I just baught my Hondata S300 and received it today. I dont have a clue on what to do so I called up inline pro and they said I cannot use the stock ecu on hondata. So he told me what to do and what he said flew right over my head because he said it so fast. He said something about OBD1 harness and stuff. Anybody got any suggestions? I would like to keep the stock ecu. But if its not possible then... yeah. Or what ecu do I need to buy and stuff like that?

he can't get his ecu modified, as he has a 99-00 car.

you need to get an OBD-IIB to OBD-I conversion harness (part # SVEECU0200 from lightningmotorsports.com)

you need to send me the little baggy of stuff that came with your S300, along with $200, and i'll send you a beautiful, ready to go ecu with the hondata installed with a basemap.

yea i have a 00 civic too with the S300. Since we have OBD2 ECUs, you have to get an OBD1 ECU and then take the unit that you bought and have it installed. Honestly.. its not that hard to do... if you go to hondata.com and get the directions for it, it tells you step by step how to install it. but if you are not good at that type of stuff then just take the directions, the S300, and the OBD1 ECU to someone and they will know exactly what to do. But let me tell you, once its in... WOW. haha such a great program!

Socketed is no good, you need it with the male pins not the female socket.

HERE IT GOES,

seriously there is no way you can learn everything about ecu's in 1 day, get a bone stock p28 get the conversion harness and then get someone to install it for you, why spend 500 bucks for the s300 and 100-200 for the ecu and fry it all

Conversion harness = 74 from xenocron, good dude. If you play your cards right p28 = 75-85, and you can prolly get one done for s300 for 150.
