ok, i bought an h22 head and blah blah blah, and when it arrived, UPS had managed to break one of the cams. Now that the claim papers have been issued and whatnot, there is just one thing left... which cam was broken. neither were actually installed in the head, so my question is how do i tell which one is the intake cam and which one is the exhaust cam. i really havent been able to find anything, so any help would be appreciated!

 

iirc, the exhaust side camshaft is notched for the distributor, the intake side isn't

 

well i looked for the notch on each one, but i cant really see much difference. to double check, exactly where do i find the notch, cause im not 100% sure i looked in the right spot. thanks for the help!

 

nevermind im retarded i found the notch on the end of the cam, just where i didnt look the first time.

 

the left side of each camshaft is the pulley side, depending on the way you look at it...plus i believe this side is threaded...i don't have a set of cams in front of me, so this is all from memory
