I purchased a jdm b18c about two months ago and I am having second thoughts. Everything was purchased from a shop in south san francisco and I never installed. At this point and time I would rather put the monney into my other car. I expect to take a loss of cash but what do you think i can get for the motor? Here is a list of what I have. I some one could give me an idea of what I should ask that would be great. Thank you.

IF ANY ONE IS INTERESTED I WOULD PROBLY TAKE 3,800 EVEN THOUGH I JUST PAID 3,500 FOR THE MOTOR, LSD TRANS, LINKAGE AND AXLES. 650 ON BRAND NEW STAGE 2 CLUTCHMASTERS CLUTCH AND FIDENZA FLY WHEEL AND ANOTHER 3 HUNDRED ON THE REST. IT WAS ALL NEVER INSTALLED SAME AS BUYING YOUR SELF BUT YOU SAVE. IT'S BASICALLY LIKE BUYING THE SWAP AND GETTING THE CLUTCH FOR FREE. IF I DON'T SELL THEN I'LL JUST SWAP IT IN MY CAR.

 

I think you could get about $3000-$3500.

 

bro please do yourself a favor and realize this is a car part that is used. you may have new parts in it and all, but it is nonetheless a '95 GSR motor. you will be lucky to get $3k for it.
I have over $10k into my motor but that doesnt mean i would get that much for it, nor does it mean i would even get half as much for it.
don't set yourself to be disappointed when no one buys it for your asking price. If i were you i would seriously try to get $3k obo for it. that is even a bit much considering people sell sleeved long blocks for less, given they are used too but it still is alot better than a stock block.

Well I dont think anyone(sane) would give you this much for a B18C but by what you described you had, I would guess between 2800 but no more than 3500. Just depends on the transactions I guess.

no I paid 3,390 out the door, jdm b18c 180hp, axles, lsd tranny, and ecu.

 

why don't you post everything for how much you bought it for (if the parts are new/newly purchased), then work OBO from there?

$12 coolant (blue)

which equals $4,387 which sucks cause i never even installed or used anything but i would take 3,500 if some one is interested. if not i will install in my civic. but i would rather use the monney on my other car. leave a post if you are interested. thanks

Go get your receipts, and try to return some of those parts.

If that doesn't work, you don't have to sell the entire package all together. Since your willng to take a 20% lost already, mark all your parts 20% lower, and go to classifieds.
