Last night I got a call from "SCP Sponsor" (Sport Compact Pro) & I signed up for the sponsorship, I went to google today and found some posts on automotiveforums.com saying that SCP is a total scam!!! This **** is kinda creepin me out cuz I already paid the $88 for the application process and fees...has n e one ever heard of these people??? has n e one ever applied to SCP before!!! Please answer this ASAP!!!!!!!!

 

I don't think any sponsors would require you to pay any fees, I think it's a scam. Call SCP directly to find out, did you inquire with them for a sponsorship? How did they get your number?

 

A buddy of mine went through SCP. The only things that i have seen come out of that deal were a small discount on Carbotech brake pads and the vinyl decals...

 

What makes you think a car company would want to sponsor your car out of the thousands of Civics that get modded every day?

You got scammed. I'd stop sending them any money unless you've signed a contract, in which case you're hosed.

 

i signed up for one of those sponsorships also. once i found out it was a scam i called them up, and told them that im selling my car and that i wont need the sponsorship anymore, and not to send me any of the information. i followed up on it and got a refund back. when you talk to someone be courteous and remember to the name and extension of whoever you talk to. hope this helps..
