12.1:comp with skunk 2 head and jun cams..
should i run 440 or just stick to the 310 i have and 255 pump????

It's always good to go bigger. The last thing you want to do is run out of injector and have to retune your whole fuel map.
Personally I would go with the 440's. 310's will work ok though for high 190 low 200whp.

The stock obd1 h22 injectors are 345cc injectors. They are peak and hold. I went with the 550cc peak and hold injectors from RC. I am running wtih close to a 2.4L as well, and you're gonna need more than the stock 345cc if you have a good tuner
and I'm not running any crazy compression either.
PS: the production RC 440cc injectors are saturated injectors.... so that is for the obd2 h22 motors. The peak and hold injectors require a resistor box...

yes, its always better to go w/ a bigger injector and tune down.
im also running 550s this season on my new 14:1 motor. this will be a little overkill but rc doesnt make any peak/hold between 370 and 550.

how much hp are you planning on building to? No use going bigger if you don't need to. I doubt you're going to need to.

no he wont need them w/ that compression, unless its going to be close to a 2.4 liter........and they still wouldnt be absolutly necessary.

with higher compression, the maps need to be tuned a bit richer to make sure you dont detonate...
better safe than sorry, there is no disadvantage to running a bigger injector and tuning down, also the 550s cost just as much as the 370s, so why not...

heres all the formulas:
http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm
a 310cc injector will support 188hp at 80% duty cycle and 43 psi fuel pressure
the 345's will go 210hp
440's will go about 270hp at 80% and max out at 336hp (dont reccomend running them that hard)
80% duty cycle seems to be pretty standard as going higher than that for a period of time will overheat the injector.
Just for the hell of it lets take the 310 injector and run it at 55psi instead of 43psi (may be a little high, but just for comparison)
now that injector flows 349cc's/min and will support 212hp instead of 188hp
and a 345cc injector ran at 55psi flows 389cc's/min and supports 237hp at 80% duty cycle

not to thread jack but sense we are on the topic. I will be running 11.5comp, full jun head, euro-r IM, RMF header. RC 370's....
no idea what HP #'s I'm looking at, but how are 370's for this setup?? bigger?
bump for evoalf :good thread info:

stock injectors would work fine. you could go w/ 370s but why waste the money?

I'm going with 550cc's to make sure I have enough fuel to play with... but I also am running a 2.4L with 12:1 compression and some other goodies

Stock injectors will work fine if you have an obd1 motor... if you have the obd2 h22, they only have 290cc injectors... and that will probably be exceeded if not REALLY close. If you are gonna buy 370's, just go ahead and be safe and do 550, because if you ever bump the compression to the sky or stroke it, you'll be pissed. If you have the 345cc injectors (stock obd1 h22 injectors) then just keep them for now and upgrade when you need to.

I am going with 12.5 compression pistons on my build. Since I will have ITB's should I get 550cc injectors. I had figured that 440 would be good.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well... it's a 2.4L in the same since that an h22 is a 2.2L if you know what I mean... bore and stroke will be out of the box soon... I'll have a post up about all of the "controversial stuff" that comes along with my build (and myself most of the time).
Are you running on pump gas? Street car? Obd2 or obd1? Or a custom peak and hold 440cc injector? If you want some 400+cc injectors for cheap and you need a peak and hold injector, you could get some dsm injectors (450cc peak and hold) and get them cleaned out. Or just go with 550cc. I wouldn't do 370 ever! If you can't do what you want with 345cc's then don't **** your money away buying 370's. 550's are a good choice in my opinion, unless you have a saturated injector setup... in which case I would just stick to 440's.

Right now, I run 94 octane. After the build, I will run 100 octane all the time. Here it is 5.50 per gallon. When I lived in China, Indonesia, and Malaysia gas was at least 5.00 per gallon, so paying that much does not bother me. The motor is a 95 jdm (being stroked). Custom parts take forever. I should go with the 550cc injectors.
