So a friend and I were racing and all of the sudden it sounded like my valves started ticking a little louder then normal. I thought I needed a valve adjustment.
I babied it for a day and then the next day on my way to school it got really loud.
It sounded like I blew something, but it still runs.
It still cranks up and still will drive,
But it’s making an awful sound.
And a few days before that I noticed my water pump was dripping, is it possible for me to have like blown the water pump and its causing my timing to slip, or do you think I blew a valve? Or could it be something else entirely?
i took my valve cover off and did not notice anything that could be wrong with it
so i dont know where to begin

 

have you checked your coolant?

 

no i havnt.. i should probably do that.

 

check that and your oil, make sure they arent mixing. oil will be greyish if they are. could have bent a valve.
