It will fit without problems. You can even reuse the stock mounts. I would convert to obd2 and run the engine the way it is suppose to be run. I believe a p2p ecu is the one you should use.

Yes, the y8 is a direct swap. electronically, you can run it with the PM6, but wont have VTEC unless you have a RPM activated switch (which is gay-hetto)
As Mach69 said, you can use the old mounts, trans, axles all that ****.
If you decide to stick w/the PM6 method, have it chipped to run TurboEdit and you can use the PM6 to activate VTEC, only w/TurboEdit though.

If I was going to do this I would get a 90-91 pr4 or pm6 and chip it with d16y8 fuel maps and timing maps and run the turboedit one wire vtec..And get a 88-91 hf/si dizzy to keep it obd0..
