Rigidy and Strength are also a benefit from the stamped ones that came from the factory. Some of the manufacturers also claim that aftermarket LCA's also allow for a wider wheel and tire combo..... Not sure if thats true but thats all the 2 cents I can put in!

supposedly the 96 Civic DX doesnt have a front sway bar. Still, get the OEM one. Id reccomend against any aluminum besides forged and/or tubular in the suspension or frame of your car.
