Default Short shift kit

I have a 99" EX sedan and i just bought a Fidanza short shift adapter. A place called Garage Kwai said that they would put it in and cut the shift lever and re-thread it for $55. Has anybody heard anything good or bad about Garage Kwai or Fidanza products?

Do yourself a favor and don't get a hackjob done to your shifter. It's unsafe and very ghetto. The shift kit is ok but spare the cutting.

Thanx for the input. Went to Kwai to get the adapter installed today and found out that Sport Compact Only sent me an adapter for a prelude and not an accord. They hacked the stick anyways and re-threaded it great. So now I'm pissed off at SCO and am waiting for their call on Monday.

When I went to get it installed I took my own adapter that I got from Sport Compact Only. Unfortunaly, when i got there i was told by Kwai that they had sent me an adapter for a prelude and the one that i had bought wouldnt work. So i called Sport Compact only and they checked it with Fidanza(the brand that i bought) and came to the conclusion that Kwai was wrong and that i had the right part. So after all the confusion i still don't have it installed yet. Although the cust down the stick and re threaded it $35. Called Genesis Racing and Development and they want $125 just to put it in.
