Default Exhaust Opinions - Tanabe or Invidia?

Im after buying a new exhaust... I'm after either a Invidia system or a Tanabe SMR for my CRX siR.

Just asking of peoples opinions on these exhausts. If there are any other exhausts i should be looking at please let me know.

Thanks for your time,

Ryan, UK

tanabe is good quality construction, except the fiberglass packing seems to fly out easily. it went from dead silent to kinda low rumble bass sound in a matter of months. at least on my tanabe exhaust. but hey, i got it for free anyway.

i dunno anything about invidia.

for my money, id get RS*R.

Is the RSR stainless or aluminized steel?

Looks like mild steel to me?

What does a Greddy SP2 exhaust look like?

Im still prefering the Tanabe SMR over the RS*R. It just looks too stock for my liking. Im not a ricer boy by any means, but i do like a nice looking exhaust!

+1^^^^^

IMO the invidia and the Tanabe just don't look right on CRXs, the invidia is REALLY ugly and riced out IMO as well, will sound like every other honda you hate to hear.

Get an exhuast with a bigger muffler section like the Greddy or RS-R, these sound 1,000x better and alot deeper than the canister style exhaust. You will NOT regret going with RS-R, Greddy, Apexi.

Ive never heard of an Apexi exhaust on a CRX. Any pics? I used to have a scorpion system, but i was too similar to my mates mongoose system.

The scorpion system is easy to get hold of in the UK!

My mate used to have a nice system on his EE8 Civic VT like the Greddy system, sounded the nuts!

If you're in England, you might as well pick up a Scorpion, I have one and absolutely love it. It was really hard to get here in NA though....

I'm really interested in the scorpion, too, as it looks like a low-profile performance version of the stock muffler. What kind of steel is it, and what is the tubing diameter?

How do you get one?

GReddy SP2 all the way!!!! I guarantee you that the GReddy sounds 1000x better than any canister exhaust on the REX, I have heard both and everybody I have talked into getting a GReddy or something equivelent can't thank me enough. GO GREDDY, NO CANISTER STYLE ON EFs, just sound too raspy, You can't even hear the Motor with a canister usually since it's so loud it just drowns it out. Every fast car I have ever heard sounds good all around from motor to exhaust beecause quality matters that much!!!!!!!

I used to like the Thermal. I have a canister exhaust. And to top it off I got it off ebay, way back when. But it's everything but raspy. Its the best $30's I've spent. LOL. No but it sounds great and is from EBAY!!!
