Clicking noise in doors
i have a 91 civic dx and the seatbelts are in the door. when i hook up my battery cable the doors click. is this normal? i have a drain on my battery and i am trying to figure out what is causing this. any help is appreciated
yea there is 3 plugs that go to the side of the seat belt brackets. and they click when i hook up the battery. i just need to know if that is normal or not
it is not non stop, only when i attach or remove my positive lead on the battery. i have removed the panels, it is three plugs like i stated eariler, and the plugs go to boxes on the side of the seat belt rolls

is your car on when you plug in the battery?? only thing I can think of is that your speakers are poping when they get power or that you have power locks and when you hook up the battery they flicker. If you dont have power locks than eliminate that. but possibly your speakers poping.
it is not speakers or power locks, it is boxes that are on the side of the seat belt rolls, they have little arms in ther that move when i touch the positive power cable to the battery and go back when i disconnect the battery, no the car is not on. to clearify, all i want to know is it normal for the seat belt "arm thingy" to move when i put power to the car and if not then what do you guys think it could be?
I dont know but maybe later when I have time I can try it on my car to see if it also does it. Other than that I have no idea what it could be.
its normal. its part of the whole passive restraint system which is why they put the seat belts in the doors as well. i noticed it too when i had a battery disconnect switch mounted in the cabin.
