cable and hyrdo tranny Q
does the cable tranny from a 92 teg need a slave cylinder and a release fork boot? Im slappin a 92 cable tranny on my 94 "hydro tranny needed" engine but I just figured to get the cable conversion for it...so do I need a slave cylinder and a release fork boot?

Cable transmissions dont use Master cylinders or slave cylinders, there run off a cable (hints the name) To run it in you hydro car you need a conversion kit.

so do I need anything to convert that also?
and its not really downgrading...easier to find cable trannies then hydro one so if one screws up then easy replacement...but ya downgrading cauze of cable to hydro

If you're getting a conversion kit to run a cable tranny in your hydro car, it retains the stock slave cylinder. The rubber boot isn't used because the cable trannies use an arm (instead of the little plate the hydro ones do).

They don't. The conversion kit retains the use of your car's hydraulic system, and comes with hardware to mount the slave cylinder to the tranny. Then you remove the rod from the slave and put in the new one in the kit which pushes on the throwout arm to engage the clutch.
The kit also comes with a solid mount which is the perfect size and length, something you won't find in any oem mount to put a cable tranny in an eg.
