K20a2 swap into '01 civic (I searched but couldnt find an answer to my question)
well I just recently purchased a '01 civic coupe and already am in the process of buying my K20a2. But my question is what will it take to make it pass smog? I've been told that it should pass smog but you will need to get it BAR'd first. But is it that easy as to just drop in the engine and you are all thumbs up when it comes to passing a smog test?

People very seldom just "drop in a motor."
What kind of header and exhaust are you using? What kind of computer?
If you are using a USDM K20A2 and stock exhaust in conjunction with the six speed transmission and the OEM USDM K20A2 computer from the same year then you should pass emissions tests without having to worry about anything else.
