FINAL word on the RSX's demise
TSX will be a sedan, a coupe and eventually a convertible.
The RSX is gone...period, end of story.
This is from a former District Director for American Honda.

they can take the rsx away from the public, but not from me.
my dc5 is a keeper until i have my son. then i'll give it to him. then he'll probably crash it and i'll have to buy him a new car.

If I had the time, I'd draw a circle around that tie rod connection.
It doesn't matter how stiff the suspension or how big the Brembos, that tie rod is still connected to a strut and a steering rack that's too high up in the chassis.
Both of these items corrected in the FG.

I still say I will beleive it when I see official proof from Honda/Acura. So much speculation everywhere. Nothing against the OP, I just choose to wait instead of getting all hyped up or in this case sad because of car rumours.

You do realize that the very first Integra was torsen bar front/beam rear axle, right?
How is the RSX any less of an Integra than the 1st one was? The RSX is still a 2+2 coupe with a hatchbach-like trunk...just like every integra that came before it. It grew up, but not nearly as much as the Civic has.

FG's are the 06+ Civic coupe chasis codes. FG2 = Si and FG1 = DX, LX, EX. And FWIW FA1 is 06+ Civic Sedan (minus the hybrid which is FA3).

The steering rack in the FG chassis mounts lower on the firewall. The FG's tie rods connect to the hub assemblies rather than to the struts. The FG still uses a strut front suspension, however. I think that's what you meant, but your description isn't terribly clear.

^^^ Just another "RSX is dead" thread. There's nothing to say until someone sees an official Honda/Acura press release, then we can begin talking.
Clearly, if HMC/Acura did want you (apparently) are expecting -- i.e., announced "The RSX is dead" -- the dealers would be stuck with fleets of unsold cars. Thus, you are not going to see the "final word" re the RSX demise until the last one has been driven to its loading dock.
In the meantime, all the indicators are in place -- not the least of which are Civic Si sales numbers, where the demand greatly exceeds the supply.
But look at the upside: If you are an RSX buyer and ache for one, it's only a matter of time before HMC provides the dealers with $$ incentives to move the metal.
