switching the fly wheel well be okay as long as the engine codes are the same D-series, B-series etc. Maybe the flywheel you bought was for a d16a6 and your motor is a d15 than the si d16a6 tranny would have a bigger spline this is just an example per say but you get the idea.

O.o

88 has a different spline count on the transmission. It has 21 splines and a 200mm surface, whereas the 89 has a 20 spline and the flywheel is 200mm. The 90-00 is 20 spline and 212mm I think (unless I got the whole 212-200 thing backwards, but it is different for those years.)

That clutch will not fit the transmission.

i just went through this putting a 89 si tranny on my d15b
hes correct except for the 90-00 clutch is 220mm

p.s. a clutch for a 84-89 prelude Si is a 220mm clutch with 21 splines i just told them i need one for an 86 prelude si and it worked im not sure on the years but i think it was 84-89 if you go with 86 you are golden

yes, any D-series flywheel 90-00 will work - they all have 212mm clutch
