Default JDM b18c is weak.....wtf???

Here's the specs first:
00' Civic CX Hatch
JDM b18c
td84u distributor
s80 LSD tranny
obd1 P72 using obd2-obd1 harness
OEM Gsr intake manifold
OEM header
AEM CAI
OEM Cat
2.5" Catback
Whenever i go to WOT, the car is very slow to respond. There is absolutely no power until i get into vtec. I'm not sure where to look at first. Would it be a fuel problem? Ignition problem? Or what? I am not getting any CEL's either. Any feedback would be great, thanks!

edit: below 6k rpms, the car has absolutely no power. for example my d16 vtec motor in my hatch feels more powerfull.....

Check the timing belt, make sure its not off a tooth. Had it happen several times to myself.

have you got an a/f meter? that would tell you what the fuel is doing...

good call, but would my engine even be running if it was off a tooth? hopefully i didnt do any damage by going up to 8k rpms a couple of times....

i need a refresher on how to check the timing belt.

i know that the cams have marks on them and that the bottom thing (dont know the technical term) that attaches to the crank also has a mark on it, so i just allign all of those up correct???
to do thisi would need to remove just the timing belt cover right? can i still keep the crank pulley in place????

use a 19mm socket to rotate the crank pulley until the white mark lines up with the raised line on the timing cover. look down from where a power steering pump would sit- in the direction of the crank pulley and you should see the mark. it looks like a triangle from the top view. turn the crank until the white mark lines up, and then the marks on the cam gears should all the straight across from each other.

most hondas are indeed interference motors as so B-series
the valves wont contact the pistons with a tooth off though

May God have mercy on as all.

Also, can anyone run a carfax for me, or know of some loop-hole?

79 lph for d and non vtec bseries
135 for vtec b motors.

difference, but that would not cause the problem your describing. the fuel pump would cause problems at high rpms in wich it would not move enough fuel to feed the motor.
that is not the case for a fairly stock b-series vtec

Yea, the high end on this b18c is decent, so i agree that maybe the Fuel Pump is not the problem.

Would the obd2 (td84u) distributor that I have not be working correctly with my obd1 P72 ecu??? or maybe my distributor timing might be retarded too much, so then my low end/throttle response sucks???
