accelleration
I have a 94 accord. I had a new tranny put in it and it still wont get any speed. This sint a preformance thing i am looking for the accelleration i had when i got the car. The accelleration problem started befor the tranny was put in. I was thinking about having the codes ran and and if i didnt get anything like egr or some thing replacing the plugs and wires. It seems like it is ignition not fuel so I dont want to rip into the injectors and stuff so i was wandering If the plugs and wires would be helpful? I was also wandering if these have a voltage regulator?
Thanks Dan

Sounds like you're "wandering" all over the place, Danny.
Is this lack of accelleration consistant thru the gears, or do you reach a point where it starts getting worst. You've got to give us some additional observations about what's happening.
I'm surprised you didn't have a scanner check it out yet.

This is actualy a freinds car i dont work on cars becuase they are to small. I would have ran the codes my self but it is maine, and i live in NY. I was wrong too it is a 91. She had told me a while before I posted this. I will know tomarow if the problem gets worse or better but she said that it seemed like it wouldnt get into 5th on the highway so i dont know if it is tranny or if these hondas are anything like the fords with the computers. The little rice burners seem more computer oriented so i was thinking it could be an electrical problem with the tranny like a sensor they didnt replace in the swap.

Yeh, anything you can do to clarify what the condition she's seeing with the '91 will help us put a finger on it.
These Transmissions (starting in 1990) are susceptible to two prevalent conditions, both effect the transmission shift performance.
1) The screens under the Shift and Torque Converter Lockup solenoids may be restricted or clogged by contaminants.
2) Valve body spool valves often stick in their bores from Fluid oxidation deposits (from over-extended fluid change intervals.)
And as mentioned before, the cat converter may be starting to clog.
