How much is the going rate for an LS motor swap into an EG at a shop, Im in NJ and my friend is looking to get one and i want to make sure he doesnt get ripped off hes broke!

well from an importer obd2, it's about 1-2k
if you get a 94-95 it depends on the engine's condition
probably 400-500 if you're lucky

do it yourself thats the best price i can tell you.

 

why you and your friend save the money and diy? it is easy, especially if the eg is non-vtec & the ls is a obd1, then its cake.

 

the thing is i dont live near him during the winter and he can only use a credit card for parts so he wants to get it done at a shop...

Ask someone in the NJ thread. They'll probably do it for like 4-600 maybe less.
