short-ram squeeky??
anyone ever install a short ram air intake in an '01 accord and have it rub that silver little pipe right under it while idleing, and makes a squeeking noise. More testing is in progress jsut need another person...
Yes, that's how mine is, and my friend's as well. I wrapped the A/C line with foam. My friend left his alone, and it started to wear a groove into his intake. Mine hasn't had any problems since I wrapped it.
i dont have a short ram, but i do have a CAI, and noticed similar problems when im sitting at a stoplight and idle for more than 20 or so seconds. It more or less rattles and squeaks in the engine, and I know its from the intake because it didn't happen before.
I took the intake off and put the foam adhesive around the ac line wrapped w electrical tape, man there is a little groove in the intake tube from the vibration, after only like a month. damn.

foam would wear out fast.
use a clear one inch(or bigger) hose(from homedepot), cut it, wrap it around and zip tie the end.
you don't want to bust your a/c house, they are expensive to replace and they hold alot of pressure.

just an update so far. Well the foam is covered with electrical tape, so its not wearing out....which is good and the squeeking is gone ! I guess if it does wear out I will go with 7 heads idea, stay up!
