does anyone know how to install a 99-00 cluster into a 96-98 dash
as the title says I want to install a 99-00 cluster the one that has the round a/c buttons on my 97 civic but the plugs are different can anyone help?

Not only are the plugs different, but the entire system on the 99+ is electrical, whereas you have cable conrols on the 96-98. Do some research and you'll discover that it gets pretty complicated and costly to do the swap.
