how do u refill power steering from empty?
im ready to refil my power steering after piecing together some rubber hoses and the resivour for my shell. im pretty sure its completly dry of fluid too.
just wondering what the easiest way to do this is and about how much fluid the whole system will take?

check the book, it ought to tell you the capacity. id say, physically hold the resovoir as high as possible, and pour fluid into it until it levels out. then have someone start the car. the fluid level may move down, the fill till it stays level (should take only a few seconds.) this is the same as bubbling out the radiator for air.
i dunno how much it holds, but when i replaced my power steering tank i bought 3 of those bottles and only used like 1 and a half maybe.

It would also be a good idea to bleed out the air in the ps, to do this, when you start your car, spin the wheel lock to lock but don't go all the was just get close, do that about 5 times and the car should be good to go.
