I have a magnaflow catback exhaust system on a 92 honda civic lx and I was thinking about getting a silencer for it. What kind of sound and performance should I expect and is it worth getting one, if so what one would fit on my car? Thanks

 

silencers are made to quiet the exhaust. not give power

 

yah, they don't add any power at all.

Well I don't know about sound but I knew a kid I went to school with that had a saturn with an exhuast, and after he put a silencer on it, it actually made it sound worse and ended up sounding exactly like a weed wacker.
