H22 Build Problem
I had my h22 dynoed a few weeks ago and isnt making as good of numbers. 190 whp. The graph shows the power dropping at around 7 thousand on. I am thinking that the stock im is choking it out.
H22 block sleeved and built by Golden Eagle, JE 11.5:1 comp pistons, eagle rods standard bore.
Head ported polished and assembled by Portflow, Stage 2 Skunk 2 cams
Hondata s300
255lph fuel pump
550cc injectors
str fuel rail
b&m fuel pressure regulator
dc shitty header going into 2.5" custom exhaust

I was thinking that could also be the problem. and was told that by a few people to try a bigger header and collector. Do you know of any place that has good headers? So do you think that the combination of the dc header and stock im is killing the powerband?
Thanks for the input

remove the butterflies, go back to stock injectors and exhaust manifold until you can get ahold of a custom piece such as hytech or equivalent. get a retune, i had the identical setup a while ago w/ vafc tunning only and made 210 whp. if this is a daily driver you may also want to consider type s cams, much more midrange and you dont need alot of compression to run them. was this on a dynojet?
Thanks for input. I will give that a try. So you would replace the stage 2s for type S cams? and it was on a Dynojet 248X. I will be keeping you updated. and thanks again.
sorry if i made it sound like you wasted money on your cams. skunk 2s are great cams, they pull hard up top. they are all that i would use in a 12.5:1 + compression h series race motor. i ran them in my street car, then swapped them out for s cams. the s cams had so much more midrange and were alot better for the street. good luck w/ it.
Thanks alot. I will give that a try and see if I can get the numbers up. With this settup it should be making power in the higher rpm ranges.
