Default Modified Exhaust Ticket...

Has anyone gotten a modified exhaust ticket. I'm from central California and was pulled over for a modified exhuast earlier. He also said that my alarm thingy was too close to my VIN number, which he made me take off. It was right above the VIN label but that *** still said he couldn't read my VIN. The stupid PIG wrote me a ticket and gave me a court date. It wasn't a fix it ticket either. Has anyone been through this...what did you have to do? Anything will help, thanks.

You act surprised that he wrote you a ticket. Having a modified exhaust is illegal, you got a ticket. So in fact he is not stupid, he was doing his job that you pay him to do.

And you won't be calling him that the next time you get your car stolen.

If you put something illegal on your car don't be surprised you get a ticket.

As for fighting the ticket I am pretty sure he will have you beat. Unless you have documents showing that it is legal. Perhaps if you remove it and put the stock one back on, prove that you did it they will take it easy on you.

Good luck.

Here in nebraska, a buddy of mine had the same problem, he Just swapped his OEM muffler back on, and they threw his ticket out.

God I love Living here.

Hell yeah I was surprised I got a ticket. He was following me for hella long and finally pulled me over when I was down the street from my house. He ain't doing his job for ****, following me for that long trying to see if I make a wrong move. I still got the cat. and resonator and everything. I also know my exhuast will still be under 95 decibals too. And no, my car ain't going to get stolen. I park in a garage and take the other cars that I have when going to the store or something. I only drive it around for fun. And yes I am going to fight the ticket. If he wasn't the little bitch that he is, he should of made it a fix it ticket at least.

What if you had your exhaust repaired at a shop and they put on an aftermarket unit?

wow so its really true that you can just pay a fine rather than going to the ref? What if you have to see the ref for having different motor?

I did go to the referee cuz that time I didn't know what referee does so I went there at fullerton and he told me to pop my hood I did put back the stock headers and exhaust but he was like oh u can't be driving this car ur engine is illegal(b16a)and his like either u try it today see if will past or or put back the old motor and ecu knock sensor all the that u need to be legal and I ask him is the result gonna go to sacramento and he said yes I was like ill be back but never come back there its freaking scary that's why never never go there unless u have ur car all legal and shi*
Best bet pay the ticket and forget about it

Cuz if u fought for it and u have to go to the referee and they goana test it in front of u u know honda and acura ones u put something in like cam it afect everything a/f too advance and all the bullshit and u aint goanna win believe me but good luck

So when you didn't get your car inspected they just give you a fine and you didnt have to see the ref anymore?

After the fine...did you change everything back to OEM. I don't really care about the fine but then I could still get a ticket everytime unless I actually do something about it. I don't want the OEM parts on my car though.

that fukin pig was just being an ********.... since u had the resonator on too it wasn't loud....all my friends who got tickets for the exhaust there's were loud... but just put the stock back on for a fix it ticket.. no use fighting for it unless u have proof from the manufacture that your exhaust is not above.. i dont know what db but i think its like 92-96db or something..... my friend got a ticket for his exhaust and called Greddy and they sent him a certified paper saying it was legal and he got off on it...

Heelllll yeah I put back everything straight pipe 2.5and never pass by brea again in my life

But I don't recommend putting it back to straight pipe I suggest cuz police see those chrome exhaust they know its a modified so get a magna flow the one that inlet left side outlet right side or es and paint it black cuz they both look stock so yeah good luck with everyone

And for the other guy yea pay the fine and that's it no record or anything as loong as u notgoing to court to fight for the ticket cuz for shure he's goanna have u to go to the referee b ready all aftermarket part even cam hahaha
