Default HELP...vtec solenoid gasket for jdm b16a

I did some research and everyone said to go with the 91 nsx for a 1st gen jdm b16. I finally took off the solenoid and the old gasket is flatter and squarish and the new one i got is rounder. When i put the new one in, theres a tiny bit of space as you can see from the pic below. Is this gonna be a problem? Should i use the new one and just use alot of hondabond? or stick with the old one?

old, new

new one

old one

My guess is that your old gasketis just compressed from age. The new one should work fine. You can honda bond it too if you like.

You should be fine unless where the point is on the first gasket "<" in the first pic, it looks like thers a crack inbetween the 2, if so, put honda bond, if not , you should be cool.

The main difference I see is the old one has been
bolted down and compressed..

The new one is still round and the old one is kinda squashed...

I just used permatex ultra-gray on the old gasket on my friends
car.. The gasket was still soft but it was leaking bad.
