Default LS/VTEC Oil leak...

Okay. This is getting extremely irritating....

My motor has been running for about 4OOO miles now, and ive noticed i cant get rid of a small oil leak coming from under the solonoid area. First I though it was the distributor o-ring. Changed it, along with a new solonoid gasket, and it was fine for about a day. Then, the mystery leak came back. Ill keep spraying it off with brakleen, and it keeps coming back from the same spot, but i never catch it soon enough to see where its directly coming from. It sits on the top of the bellhousing where it meets the block, and it runs down the front of the tranny. Now, by no means is it A LOT of oil, its just that oils' molecular structure makes it look like more than it really is.

About a week ago, I cleaned it all off, and drove the car for about a mile. Now, when I pulled over, there was a teeny-weeny bit of oil around where the block code is and nowhere else. WTF?! Is it possible that my oil pan is leaking onto the back of my flywheel and kicking it all over the front of the inside-bellhousing? (I know, its very far-fetched, but Its a possibility)

If anyone has ever had this problem before, please key me in on a solution, because I know a couple of members going through the same problem.

this is a common problem. oil is hard to spot unless it has dirt on it. therefor it could be leaking down, and then collecting dirt or pooling, making it more obvous.

check the following:

cam plug

vtec solinoid gasket

valve cover gasket

the bes thing to do, is rub your finger below the gasket area on the head and "Feel" where the oil is seeping from

i put sealant on the vtec soleniod and a small line across the line where the block and head meet up, hopefully it will work
