what would be the going rate to install stage 2 cams w/valves and retainers? I want to get a ball park to avoid the RAPE when I go shopping for prices.

I'd say at least $400-500

 

300-500 depending on whether they do a valve adjustment with it.

Huh? Not to be a stickler but if they installed new valves I hope they would adjust them

but $300 to $500 is correct, then more $ for tuning them properly, no point in putting in cams without the proper tuning

 

i have found that many performance shops are half *** operated.

hell yeah they are...atleast 1/2 of em are
