Iam puting 17 inch rim to my crx i wonder how low i could put my car
if your looking to lower your car alot and use it for racing then id go with something smaller than 17's...
my son has a 91 hatch, 17' rims, and a 2" drop. He takes it to the dragstrip and has had no problems. Lowering did create a camber problem, way negative camber, and he has finally decided that he needs a camber kit. Any suggestions? It only took him wearing out 2 sets of tires to come to this conclusion.

If you are using a 17" with a +40 offset and 205/40-17 then you could lower it just as much as you would using a 15" setup. 1-3", whatever. Can you race with them, sure, why not, it'll just make your car more sluggish and slow

You can race with any rims really. However, putting 17's on your car is not going to make it any faster. 15 and 16" rims will be just fine. I prefer 15's myself. What kind of racing are your doing? Drag, Auto X, ? Throw a B16 in the engine compartment. That should lower the front enough to get an aggressive look.

You gotta buy through one of there dealers though. You will save a bunch of money. Buying direct will cost you more.
