California Car Duster???????????
Hey I was wondering how any of you guys clean your car duster. They say the more you use it the better it works, but mine looks hella dirty. Has anyone cleaned their's and how???
Yeah, that's what I do everytime I'm through with it, but I have had it for so long that it is really dirty. I don't even know if your supposed to clean it with anything?

I have washed mine before...I actually need to do it again. I have the instructions at home...I will post them later on this evening.
But if you wash it doesn't that get rid of the paraffin wax or whatever it is on the strands? I've had mine for awhile and it's kind of dirty, but it doesn't seem to have any problems getting the dust off as I continue to use it. I just shake it out each time to get the really loose particles out.
As I mentioned earlier, I have washed my duster one before. It did seem to remove the paraffin wax and the duster work the same after being washer. I think as long a you use mild soap (DO NOT use dish soap) you will clean the duster sufficiently and not affect its cleaning abilities.

i heard some weird thing about the dirtier it gets the more effective it is. mine seems to work fine after years w/out washing it...for sure as good as it was when i first got it.
I have one and i never washed it and it seems to still work great. Have any of you used their "california wiper blade" I got it and i love it. Anyone agree or disagree with me.
I have the California car blade. It's not bad. The only thing is, I thought I'd be able to get every drop of water off with it. The only thing I can dry easily is the roof, windows, hood, and a little on the sides. It's really good in combination with the "Absorber."
In actuality, all these things did their job and drastically reduced my "drying" time.

Ok I have a question , It might sound stupid to someone that owns one and has expierence with a Cali Car Duster . But doesn't that holding dirt and dust being dragged across your paint cause scratches and so on ? I use the Cali water blade but then that is right after you wash and rinse your car so there isn't any dirt or much dust on it . To add in on it , I swear by the Cali water blade .

the brush is real loose, haven't notice any scratch on mine yet, i been using it for three years.
Washed twice, you can take the thing off the handle and wash it, no harder than washing rugs, etc.
it lifts off dust really good but you wanna clean all the tar and bird poop first, or else you just spreading the mess
