86-89 Accord (88-91 Prelude are the same) struts will lower the car about 1 1/2" - you need to use the ED/EF springs and cut one coil off - put the ED/EF upper mount on the strut - they will fit the ED/EF fork with a slight modification - the locating tab on the side of the strut is a little wider than on the ED/EF - you need to file or grind out the notch in the fork to get it to fit - this is what they look like on our car with 22" tall slicks

not sure what you mean by that, so all 88-91 crx parts will work with the 86-89 accord shocks then cheers.

if i lower the car 1.5" will the accord shocks still have decent travel?

Accord shock is on the right, stock is on the left. The tophat on the accord shock was lengthened 1.5". Crappy picture, I know, but it'll have to do, the car is already put back together

What he means is go read your vin # and you'll see its starts with "ED",,Not "EF" like everyone says..EF = Japanese spec cars..

the coil needs to be cut because the pison shaft is much shorter on the accord shock and accord shocks use lower tophats so you cut off one coil to make up for it.

the hats are completely different they are 3 bolts and deff not usable you use your EF top hats, whether you have to cut the spring or not depends you'd have to measure it
