Default Questions on CEL and exhaust

first question. i unplugged my o2 to get the exhaust mani off... i forgot to plug it in and i started my car.. i got CEL now... how do i get rid of it? unplug the battery for a while?

second question.. i have a 98 Dx coupe stock... a 96 - 98 Si coupe exhaust would fit proper right? all the mounting places are the same? i wanna upgrade and get a tanabe exhaust but when i look at exhausts, they always have 96-98 dx coupe, or 96-98 Si/Ex coupe..

I wouldn't think there would be a difference in the exhausts... i suppose you're talking about a cat-back setup. The only thing I would think that might be different is the piping diameter (both 1.6L ), or maybe the placement of the catalytic converter. Any EK owners with some definite answers?

This is the Si Exhaust

This is the Dx exhaust

http://www.napaprolink.ca/scri...278:1

My car has exhaust mani, then the cat, Si has header then cat... if i put a header on my car, it should all line up proper im assuming... but i wanna find out forsure.. taht cat right after the exhaust mani looks liek CRAP lol

It would be a lot less trouble to just buy the DX system. If it's all a matter of cat placement, use the system suited for your car.

no it will not work yo have to get the DX exhaust ill post up the pics witht the dfferences between them in a second after i circle the stuff.

i have a 96 ex and bought the tanabe racing spec. it comes in 3 peices where i cut with the line on the EX SI pic
#1 there is a slight bend in the piping in the EX Si model as circlde
#2 on the ex SI model it has a 3 bolts where it bolts onto the cat. where as in the DX model it doesnt show the cat in the pic it has 2 bolt so itt wont bolt up right as circled.
so when and if you get a header the DX model will have the 2 bolt hook up and not the 3 like the ex si.

oh and also one i missed to circle look at the piping bends where it hooks up to the muffler right above #1 the lenths and bends are different..The DX model has a longer peice than the ES Si

my guess would still be no since the bends in the piping are still different. if you upgrade to the SI header and cat it will bolt up to it, but underneath your car there is a groove where the piping goes along and since the angles by the muffler are different it wont sit into the groove. just upgrade the cat and the header with an aftermarket one and get the DX model exhaust less hassel and you know every thing will fit right.. the tanabe exhausts sound bad ***. they are nice deep toned and not high whiney go kart sounding
