anyone done a h22a swap into a 98 cl 2.3??
my buddy has a 98 cl with a f23, thinkin bout puttin an h22 in, sorry if this has already been talked about and would appreciate a link, but i am a mechanic and wanted to help him do the swap, just wanted to know how intense it is, if motor mounts and **** like that are available, approx. cost and materials needed, axel fitment and ecu problems... anyone have any info i am interested appreciated and sorry again if this has already been posted somewhere.
well, i know that doing it on an accord of the same vintage isn't that easy. my tech just did one, and we were just talking about this on saturday.
the mechanical part may not be hard, it's the electronics that will kill you. both the accord and the prelude have an immobilizer. the prelude is its own unit while the cl/accord are built into the ecu. this can be overcome, but it is complicated.
that is...unless you want to skip all of that and go OBD-I. but i don't know if that is possible with that chassis. don't want to give bad advice.
