d16a6 zc internals 11.7:1 cr @ 4psi, Anyone know if map code advances ignition timing, everyone tells me it pulls timing or retards it, I know it dumps fuel but my car is almost twice as fast once I let it throw map code?? Its not starving 4 fuel, I dunno?? Oh yeah I dont have a missing link fyi.

 

that should throw the car into limp mode, retard timing and dump more fuel. I'm not exactly sure on this but on my car I would only throw that CEL at WOT if the vaccum lines were all plugged but MAP was disconnected. If I disconnect it and leave the lines unplugged it would throw it immediatly.

 

Yeah your in "safe mode". If it runs better then maybe you need to look into some tuning cause something isn't right.
