OK I just picked up a 2003 ep3 and I was thinking of dropping a new head on my block, thinking type S or type R depending on price, but I am un-sure of

What more I need past the head?

Is it as easy as put new head on and call it a day?

Will I get a lot more power out of new head?

What kind of reliability can I expect out of a head swap?


Also i am looking to get sway bars and strut bars what site would you buy them off of?

 

you will also need k-pro.
head swap will be reliable as long as you dont over rev your a3 block too much.
you will get some pretty good power, look around for some dyno's, its been done several times.

 

soo the computer from a type S wouldn't not work i would need the hondata?

 

not too sure abou ep3 since your ecu is configured for the S IM.
for my base, i would need kpro because of my IM.
