bought it 3 weeks ago



and had an accident 2 weeks later when I bought it ( wasnt my fault)



the insurance told me they could give me $1700 if I turned the car and I said no way lol..... and they gave me another choice $1200.........

So right now I think the bumper, impact bar, impact foam, the lip where the hood locks, bumper bracket, and the corner and bumper light.....

The fender is a little bent but I think it can be fixed........

Is there anything else I should add to this damage list ?

I will post more pics later

Yeah, those rear tail lights are damaging to the car.

its a lil ruffed up good luk tho

 

Sometimes with CRX's (and I'm sure all, small, lightweight cars in general) a corner impact can do a lot more damage than just mess up the cosmetics up front. Your frame could have a pretty decent size bend with an impact like that, not to mention your radiator core support, possibly even have later issues of your door and fender. I would pull everything off that you know needs to be replaced and look down everything for anything that looks fishy.

I'm not sure what this means... But I think I would have taken the $1700 and bought it back from the insurance company as totalled...

 

i know where you can pick up some stock headlights for cheap if you're interested.

the insurance company told me I had 2 options:
1. take $1700 and we will take the car for us and sell it to a junk jard
2. take $1200 and keep the car

I choosed option #2 because even If I dont whant to fix the crx, I can sell the doors, trunk, windows, interior, engine, (almost ALL) and get more than $1700

But since I like the car so much and they are very hard to find in PR because everyone whants one...... I kept it......


I think that with $1200 I can fix the car easily....

you can get the bumper, impact bar, impact foam, for around $300 all
radiator was $135 shipped

so lets say that bumper and corner lights cost me around $65 both

so I have to spend $500

and the other $700 to paint the bumper, fix the fender and chasis (if damaged)

and the crash didnt touch the radiator, It was already bad......

i'm just saying you won't get more than 1700 if you part that car out, that's all.

and why would you do that? so we can have one less crx on the road? seriously...think about the fellow crx owners/admirers and what you'd be doing to them.

personally, i love to see crxs everywhere i go. it's a like a sense of security...i feel safe when i see them. (not in them, see them).

well maybe, but In Puerto Rico the story is different. Because I know a guy that totalled a crx, and the insurance gave him about 1500 dollars.... if he keeped the crx... he sold the engine, doors, trunk, allot of interior parts, sunroof, SI seats, heater, radio, ETC

and got around 2000 dollars....
In puerto rico crx's are in high demand, there is not even one in junk jards...

check http://www.clasificadosonline.com to see with your eyes that crx dont go below $3000

I love crx's too.... its an awesome car, you can swap almost any honda engine b16/b18/k20/H22 ETC and its like driving in a kite... It doesnt weight alot......

seriously, the perfect car for me is a crx that can smoke powerfull cars like evo's Sti g35's etc
