Hey, this is probably a past post, but i couldnt find it heh. I have a 2004 civic LX and was wondering, would an engine swap be possible? and what should i swap the stock engine with. any help would be great, ty

 

- Yes.
- Try a K-series. K24A2 will get you the most power but will be $$.
- Do not do a swap unless you know WTF you're doing. From the looks of this post, you shouldn't be trying this.

 

thx, i wouldnt be doing the swap, my buddy would if i eventually decide to swap it, he owns a shop here in edmonton. id sort of be learning thanks again

 

K20A2 for the win. The K24 will not rev as high, nor is it as mod friendly. The only advantage it has is torque and price.

You can go with a hybrid K24/K20 too. Best of both worlds, but it really depends on your budget.

Personally, I would bolt up an A2. With I/H/E/K-Pro and Cams your looking at a 12 sec car on slicks easily.
