Default How could I make my instrument cluster light brighter?

I changed my instrument cluster light bulb inside.
I changed to Red Color.
One I changed is not that bright.
I can only see the light when it's get dark.

I want to make more brighter so I can see the light on anytime.
I saw some people changed the instrument light bulb and their bulb was very bright.

Give me any suggestion.

is it LED or an incandescent bulb?
Is it a dark red or a light red??

Dark red is going to be dark no matter what, and you can't really control that. If you bought an omnidirectional LED 194 bulb it might be brigther, but i can't make any promises.

did you buy a red bulb or did you color it with a marker or spraypaint??? i hope you bought the bulb, i know a couple of people who have gone with spraypaint and markers, that is so ghetto, make sure your cluster light adjustment is turned all the way up (counter clockwise) becuase that is comonly overlooked

get the led's with the largest range of output, since led's are traditionally bright but narrow with light output. But even with that you still can't expect it to be that bright to see it all the time. For that you might want to try getting indiglo gauges since they seem to emit light through them more

What year teg? On the 90-93 Integras if you look up at the top of the cluster you can see lights that has a blue cover on and it shines down on the cluster, if you remove that blue cover you will increase your light up there by about 50%, not sure about the 94+ Integras though, because I think all the instrument lights are in back of the cluster.

Hope this helps, good luck.

where can i get indiglo gauges?

oh before i changed my 194 bulb.
The stock bulb has blue vinyl on it.
Anyway I changed to the Red 194 bulb.
I want my instrument cluster like New nissan Altima.
I think because altima has cover each gauge, that's why it's kind of dark.
So when you put light on you can see that well.

Ok, you can buy indiglo guages anywhere that sells car stuff. You really shouldn't have to ask us where to buy car stuff.

The stock bulbs do have a blue condom on them, yes. Tha'ts what makes the light that comes out white.
I really didn't understand anything you said about the nissan altima.

If you want a nice deep red, it's gonna have to be LEDs.
I'd go to http://www.superbrightLEDs.com and look at their flat tipped wide dispersion 194 bulbs in red. My friend used them in his climate control on his evo and they came out great.

try wide angle LEDs (i think thats what they're called). bulb is kinda flat on top and has a little cone type thing on the inside which disperses the light better. tough to explain

you can find them on http://www.superbrightleds.com
