thinking about to get new teg.
I have 98 Teg. 160k mileage and it's an auto and no tuned up.
I never had any manual car. But I drove 04 Civic EX manual.
And I think i know how to drive manual car, but not very well.
anyway.
If I buy new teg, what should I need look for?
like a mileage, tunned car or no tunned car? and which model?
One more question. What if I swap my engine to B18c or h22.
Is that stupid things to do? One of my friend told me that, If not manual dont spend any money on your car.
What do u guys think?

well look for a couple things
if want that extra 30 or 45 hp, look for a GS-R or Type R.
Leather interior (pleather) vs cloth makes a diff
tan vs black interior
the 94-97 vs the 98-01 look
vtec vtec vtec... all gs-r/type r are manual so you better learn to use that clutch

this would probably be the most important thing you should take into consideration if you are looking into buying a gsr or a type R. but a word of caution if you buy a type R be prepared to deal with all the trouble and headaches of owning the car (for example keeping it safe from getting stolen

How about the engine?
Mine is 160k mileage , auto shop told my engine is very strong.
does all teg engine last longer?
I dont really care about interior.
Just depends on the performance.
Thx for reply.

honda motors last forever if u take care of em....hell, ive seen an integra with 350,000 miles and had carfax to prove it was. as for manual....its so eassy once u drive for a day or two....u pick almost everything up in a week or so....i would look into sellin ur 98 for around 4000-4500 ad just buy a 94-95 gsr. i love my 94 gsr sooo much just throw a 2000 conversion and ur set.....so much easier to tune 94-95 and u ca picked one up for around the same price u selll your for.

how about turboing your current motor. this is a good option that many tend to follow thru with. you could also do the manual 5 speed conversion. don't sell your car just because you don't think it's not "worthy" to supp up. i've seen an ls/vtec turbo w an automatic trans laying it down.
One thing when looking for a car with a certain amount of miles is checking to see if they have done all the maintenence. EX: if u buy a car with around 80-100k miles on it, the timing belt/water pump may need to be replaced, which is just one more thing u have to spend 200-400$ on... , when u maybe could have found a car with those kind of things already done, or a car with lower miles that doesnt need it yet, just my 2 cents
you think if I get turbo it would be fast?
one of my friend told me, if I put turbo on auto, it would fast as GS-R.
I want 5spd manual!!!!!
uhhhhhh AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

you still sound noobish with this..but that's ok, we all start somewhere. My suggestion for you is if you don't give jack **** about cosmetics(but i gurantee you'll care later on) Just get an gsr, it's a good car to build upon but watch out for those insurance rates.
If not get an LS and do a b18c1 swap in there since it's pretty much affordable. Or just keep the LS motor and turbo her and it'll be faster then a gsr.
