Default B16 in an 04 Civic?

Does anybody have any idea how I can put a b16 in my 04 civic dx? Do they even make a mount for it? I really want to go with a b series to save money on modifying the motor and getting a turbo for it. Any help would be appreciated.

what is not legal about it? and thanks about the kit. is there anything else i can put in there besides a k series. i want to do the popular k20/k24 swap, i just don't think it is gonna be very easy to get a hold of the motor, and if i can, it definetly won't be in my price range. let me know if anybody can think of anything else. what about an h series?

you cannot legally install a motor that is older than the car.
Same goes for H's, they stopped making them in 2001, you can't legally put one in an 04.
K's only.

first of all b series will not bolt up to a 7th gen civic. it doesnt have a double wishbone front suspension set up, it uses a mcpherson (or however you spell it) front strut. almost everything is different on the 7th gen than the cars that had b series in them. get a k series anyways they are way better and they are starting to get a ton of parts for them. k series have more potential for HP anyways. b series are old news.

You may want to consider a k20a3. I think you can pick up a complete swap pretty cheaply and they do very well with f/i.

i think you should go with a k20a2 instead. its not much more than a a3 and will give you way more potential and more power. i have the a3 and its not too impressive i must say. or a k24 from an accord/crv is about 2000. i could have sworn ive seen a 01 civic with a b18 in it b4 though. it was a drag car so it might have been an older civic with a fiberglassed 01 front end.

Just build up and turbo the engine thats already in the car. You seem to be on a tight budget, so that would be the cheapest way to go.

Oh, a K20A2 is without doubt more of an investment than the K20A3 (average is between 3.5k-4.5k for A2's at most engine dealers, while the A3 can be had for 2.3k and down). Get an A3, it will be MUCH cheaper on your wallet

thats the thing..its almost impossible to do anything to the dx engine...there are no headers for it and so far nothing that i've found (i have the value package civic/pretty much dx/lx)

only stuff is for the ex

the dx isn't even vtec for [gods] sake...

to my engine to the body style and interior
