if you do it will make it easier to seal your car...............But yes you can,,,, You need to rewire the electrical part of the ignition switch with a toggle switch to start the car, then you can totally remove the complete ignition switch out of the car...........
The ignit switch has a spring loaded plunger that retracts and expends , with key in or out,,, the steering column has a hole in it , once key is out and plunger is expended and if you rotate the steering wheel it will line up into the hole in the steering column , thus you cannot turn the wheels

True, absolutely no good will come from any of this drivel. I'm really starting to question not only the question but the suggestion as well. .... What !!!! ??

i want to make a push button that will start make car without the use of a key.
I plan to build an RX module and TX key fob. When the Rx detects that i'm in the car, the module will let me press the start button and start the car. I plan to supplement the security with a couple of hidden relays.
I've seen people make push start button but you have to put the keys in the ignition. What's the point of that??
btw how does one start the s2000? Do you need to insert the key to use the start button?

If you're really insistant on doing this, let me make a suggestion.
It will involve damaging nothing, and will require the installation of two switches.
1) Your "Push Buttob" switch
2) A secured on/off switch
Locate in your area a Home/office alarm/security vendor and pick up a key operated arming switch (I had found one which utilized a vending machine key)
Wire this in series with your "p/b" switch and insert it in the starter solenoid exciter circuit to the starter. Although it will still require the steering colume switch for the ingition feed; it will act as a poor man's starter override system.
Either that or use the keyed switch to turn on/off the ingition, and the P/B switch for the starter (wired direct to a hot sourse)
Hide the key operated switch. the car will never be stolen..
The steering colume lock will still work as designed, another anti-theft consideration

EHy........He asked a question i gave him a way to do it,, so what are you questioning ??,,,,,,,,,,,,,i think it is foolish to do what he plans but it is his car ...............,, it will be easier to steal the car, but if he follows my suggestion he can totally bypass using the key,, like i said he has to rewire the electrical part of ignition switch..

Until he expounded on what he wanted to accomplish, it WAS drivel.
It's still something I wouldn't suggest, but you'll note I gave him some suggestions myself.

I don't get why u need to rewire the ignition switch to disable the steering wheel lock. The steering lock is all mechanical right?
