3 Radar Detectors, 2 Escort 1 Cobra
Ok, I now own 4 radar detectors, the newest one is an X50 so the other 3 have to go.
First off I have a Cobra ESD-6200 that came with my car. It works ok, but I'm used to my parents' X50s or my roommate's V1. It has a voice alert function where it talks to you saying things like "Caution K Alert" and is generally pretty entertaining to have it in the car with another person. The detection leaves something to be desired but like I said I'm used to Escort and Valentine, you get what you pay for. 50 shipped OBO.
Second, I have an Escort SOLO. This is an older detector, my dad gave it to me when he got his Passport 7500. This is an excellent detector. It runs on batteries only, I used it on my motorcycle and never got a ticket. It does have a plug for a power cord but I do not have a cord for it. I also don't have the suction cup mount thing for it, but they are pretty cheap. The only thing I worry about with this one is that it has been dropped a few times, both before I got it and a couple times it slid off the seat of my bike. It seems to function fine in X and Laser bands but K and Ka are intermittent, though I haven't tried it next to another one. Escort can fix this, they have been very nice to me in the past, all of my family's detectors were purchased directly from Escort. 50 OBO (batteries not included
)
Finally I have an original Escort Passport. This one is free, you pay shipping. It's pretty old, My grandfather had it in his car since I think the late 80's or early 90's until two years ago. I have used it, it works great but only picks up X and K band. I have all the stuff that goes with it, including an extra suction cup. Since it doesn't get Ka or Laser, it's useless to me, but if you live in a realy rural area or something it might help you. Like I said, free, you pay shipping.
I can post up some pics tomorrow if anyone is interested.
