Default Torque wrench and adapter question

Ok i finally bought a torque wrench but it has a 1/2" drive. All my sockets are for a 3/8" so I picked up a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter that i stick on the torque wrench and then put the 3/8 drive socket on. My question is will this affect the torque numbers at all?

yes, but how much i dont know

your not suspos to use extensions at all on torque wrenches

if its something realy critical like headgaskets ect, id just over torque them a lil bit like, 5-10ftlbs

im not changing the length of the torque wrench. Im changing the length of the socket, i figured it wouldnt matter since people use deep sockets and dont change the torque settings. I snapped a few pics.

Heres the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter

Here it is on the torque wrench

And then i threw on a random socket

nevermind i did some research. The adapter doesnt affect torque readings.

I should also note that adding extensions such as crow's feet won't affect torque if you have them at a 90 degree angle with respect to the wrench itself.
