exhaust oponions
for an 88 crx with a b16a what are good exhuast systems that allow good flow, low profile, and not blasting my head with that coffee can drowning sound. im just looking for a nice exhaust thats not to loud and doesnt ahve a big coffee can at the end. anyone have any suggestions?
If you want something subtle looking, just get a stock "style" system, just in a larger size.
I have a 2.5" system to an ES Oval muffler (looks like a stock muffler mounted sideways and all), with a plain piece of 2.5" piping coming to the edge of the rear bumper. It looks like stock, just larger. Make sure you get a resonator though (the bigger the better) to cut out the buzzing noise that's notorious with our cars.
Mine is pretty quiet, until you go WOT. Then it just sounds mean
Example of how that setup looks painted flat black:

Do you have a 88-91 Civic? If so then you can use a CRX catback but you must trim a few inches off of the midpipe. The curves are all in the same spot, just on the Civic the midpipe is a couple inches longer.
