will a d15 distributer fit on a d16 vtec

i just got a single cam vtec d16 from a friend but doesnt have a distributer will the one on my d15 fit on it ????

i think it will fit but i think it wont work. i donno 100%, just my gut instinct.

jdm b15b vtec dizz will work
no obd1 dizz will fit correctly unless the motor is a y8
