Default Alarm Siren Placemenet

I had an alarm installed on my car a few months a go and they installed the siren under the hood next to the power steering reservoir. The problem is that it's not very loud and I want to know where a good place to put the siren is?

mine intially was installed by the battery/intake hole, but when I had the fenders off I placed it INSIDE the drivers side fender. Just to make it a little harder on theives. I hear if some one steals a car w/ an alarm the pop the hood asap and rip the siren out so their aint no noise. Mine you cant get to, and finding the wires that run to it would take a bit longer..

Thats exactly what I was thinking, but I'm going to mount the siren inside the bumper and run the wires inbetween the fender. I'm also want to add a siren with a battery backup.

mine is located in the front of the car near the radiator. one thing id like to add is to place a second siren inside your car (under the dash, somewhere). 120db bouncing around the inside of your car will make a thief think twice about sticking around.

These are awesome. They make it feel like your eardrums are going to explode.

mine is placed right next to the egr control valve. i have heard it from about a mile away, when i first got it i set it off and wanted to test it out. it might just be the viper siren, but it is really loud!

I had a viper on my last car and it was loud as all hell. I went with a Clifford on the prelude and the siren is not nearly as loud. They're both DEI so I dont know what gives.

I ended up finding a perfect spot just behind the drivers side turn signal. I ran the wire up through the fender and back through the firewall. Looking underneath the hood you would never even know it was there. It's a little louder but not as loud as my old viper.

I also want to add a siren with a battery backup. Do I just splice into the wire for the siren I have now or do I have to wire it to the brain?

And why would I do that? You're right, if they really want your car they are going to get it. I'm just saying, wouldn't it be smarter to keep that kind of stuff to yourself? If someone was trying to steal your car and figured your alarm was in your fender, don't you think that'd be extremely helpful? Well, whatever, an alarm isn't going to stop any thief anyway.

May sound like over kill but it will kill some thieves ears. One in the engine, one under the drivers side dash and one in the trunk. I dont think they are going to play in that car long.

let hypothesize then. Let say you wanna take my car and know the siren is in there. Whats you fastest way to get it out or off? Theres 3 bolts that run below the hood, 3 inside the bumper below the corner light, one in the inner fender and one on the top and bottom by the door jam. A pry bar isnt gonna work cause I used to yank on the fender to straighten out lines near the door. Are the gonna come w/ a die grinder and cut a whole and make sparks while the siren is going off? Maybe they have really skinny long arms and can reach in between an open door and fender to reach the siren...what would you do?

Dude, what are you trying to prove? You're completely voiding what you said earlier--if someone wants your car they'll take it. Why do you keep asking me stupid *** questions as if I'M going to steal your car? Sorry, I'm not into lambo doors.
