Default H.I.D. license plate light

I was just wondering if anyone has attempted to do this cosmetic upgrade yet. On my way home tonight, i spotted what appeared to be a 2006 Lexus GS 300 with a bad *** hid license plate light. It matched the headlight output color perfectly, and it just made me wonder. Has anyone else seen the car I'm talking about? I'm sure there are more makes and models with the same plate light, but the lexus is the only one i've seen so far.

The thing he is talkin about is actually 2 fluorescent bulbs. They are whiter than normal lights. Kinda like the lights that are in your garage. And they make it look pretty pimp IMO

I bet Finger F**k terror would be dumb enough to pay $200+ for a light when you can DIY for $10. If you know your electrical.

I put amber bulbs in mine and tinted the little plastic covers and I have a tinted plate cover on. haha, why would you want people to see your plate? I love how the LED taillights look though, I wish I had the skills to make them.

like everyone said, its LED not HID, If it was HID It would be extremely expensive and a pain cuz you're gonna have a ballast n all that equipment in your rear bumper. ANd when you get rear ended, have fun!

My dad has a 2006 GS430, its an LED. That car is full of them. There are even little led's in the door handles on the inside of the car, and in the footwells for the front passengers, and under the seats for the rear passengers.
Its a pretty nice car though. Far better than his 2003 GS300.

They're WHITE LED. get them on ebay.
