Not trying to beat a dead horse. But you obviously haven't been searching. This topic has been covered numerous times.

But I try to be a nice guy so here you go.

i have chased importpowerhouse and RMF about supply of their header and have not got anywhere. This is not once, twice but three times. I will be speaking with SMSP and hopefull they have better service and want to sell their product!

For drag racing and wanting peak hp, SMSP handsdown. Yes its more $ but you will get the most peak hp with SMSP. RMF is cheaper in price, but saving money on a header wont win a drag race.

DTR should be good for peak hp as well.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Where do you get your facts from?

The full exhaust robbed 7 to 8 hp .

Why is there a new header thread EVERY SINGLE WEEK asking the same exact ******* thing?

more like EVERY SINGLE DAY, sometimes twice. Doesn't anyone use the dedicated header thread?

This has been covered quite a bit. Both companies make a tremendous header and I really dont think you can go wrong either way. I have yet to see a totally fair comparison between the two. Until we see one you are just going to have to decide yourself who makes a better header for your application. Either way I think you will be happy with the results.

Currently I build 4 different 4-2-1s for the H series. The one used in the comparison above was built for a stock H22. It is the smallest header of the 4, not something I'd build for a 2.44L H series engine. The header was the 5th prototype I built during the development process of a stock H22 header back in July of 2003.

Here's a graph of my largest header vs a Mugen header on a H22 with TWM ITBs and a stock bottom end.

Red Line SMSP
Blue Line Mugen

I'd go with SMSP over RMF anyday. They've been proven to be some of the best headers. There was a header shootout where they tested 5 brands of headers. SMSP came out on top hands down. Do some searching you can probaly dig it up.

i remember that dyno, makes you realize how shitty mugen is compared to custom pieces. In all seriousness, you cant go wrong with any of the ones you chose. Its a very close battle between RMF and SMSP. Randy's header that he made FOR scotts motor, made more power than the smsp piece, but that doesnt mean that randy couldnt match it. Randy is the old timer here with i believe more experience in the fabricating field through years. Correct me if i am wrong there tho cuz i really dont know how long dave has been fabricating for.

Im pretty sure it was someone in your family, Mfags. Im not sure what kind of stuff you are into down in those cornfields, but leave me out of it.

As for RMF, I guarantee that if SMSP built a CUSTOM header just like RMF did, it would have more PEAK hp than the RMF header. The SMSP header in your dyno graph was not custom made for Scotts car like your header was.

I will put my $ where my mouth is. Anybody wanna make a bet? I am very serious about this. So that nobody is confused, this is not a joke.

I will pay for SMSP to build a header for Scotts car. We will pick an independent dyno shop, dyno scotts car upon arrival with the RMF, take it out and dyno with the SMSP. I will also pick up the tab for Dave to be there.

OK ,Put your money where your mouth is.What would you like to wager? You talk to Dave and set it all up.And then one of you two get ahold of me and we will see.
