"oil life" reset - '04 TL
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Press the reset **** repeatedly until the engine oil life display shows.
3. Press the reset **** for more than 10 seconds. At this point the engine oil life indicator and the maintenance item code(s) will blink.
[The manual does not say to release the **** at this point, but it only makes sense.]
4. Press the reset **** for more than 5 seconds. At this point the maintenance item code(s) will disappear and the engine oil life indicator will reset to 100%.
My car is a 2006 V6-6. I only have a couple thousand miles, so I have not had occasion to try this out myself. That's the procedure as outlined in the service manual.

Cool, thanks George, I will give that I shot.... how have you been? no more ITR?
(at this point I'm hoping that you'd remember me from ITR forum a few years back, and we met once at BeaveRun)

Doing fine.
Hope you are.
The ITR is still around. It's at James Evans's shop in Baltimore being converted to K motor.
