whats up with my car NOW?
'91 dx hatch with d16z6, dx tranny, and rywire harness
alright ive been in the process of swapping all my parts to a new shell for the last few weeks... working 60 hrs a week doesnt help
... anyways i have all the wiring(on the ecu harness) done and i also have everything done in the engine bay- or so i thought... everything looks to be wired up correctly and the car acts like normal when i turn the key to the "on" position but when i try to start the car all i hear is the relay behind the radio click... nothing else happens... ive checked all my grounds in the engine bay and they are all good... the only thing that i can think of is that this car had a/c and so the harness is different than my old chassis... could this have any affect on the car not starting? can anyone think of anything else that could be preventing the car from turning over? thanks for all the help guys

those are the first things that i checked out... my starter is only a few months old and it was working fine when i pulled it out of my other car... oh and the battery is a brand new optima red top so i would hope that it had enough juice... i think i will change out the engine bay fuse box and see if that helps... so is there any way that the harnesses being different(a/c and non a/c) have any affect on it? is there any easy way to change out the part of the harness that extends from the firewall to the passenger side headlight? thats where most of the unused connectors and relays are... thanks guys

thanks for the bump bro... i found out what it was... it was my clutch safety switch... the little tab had broken off so i used a screw in its place... now the car turns over but its not firing... im going to go try and find the firing order so i can make sure my spark plug wires are in the correct order... if its not that im going to make sure i have spark and make sure the injectors are firing
