Default Painted Valve Cover

i got bored last week and decided to paint my jdm SIR2 Valve Cover with VHT wrinkle paint.. and yea took pics today..

wow, good job! looks like an oem itr cover. mine didnt turn out half that nice....then again, i didnt prep it or sand it and i just wanted it done.

Thanks dude! but yeah i paint stripped it first and then wet sand it.. and painted it....

intake is from simoto (which they claim its ARC replica and i just need the ARC box).. i got it from philippines when i went there for vacation..

Looks nice.. most of the job in getting the paint to look good is the prep work. The painting is the easy part.

Came out great!

How did you keep the lettering so clean? Seems like it would be a beast to mask. Mine needs paint I was wondering how I was going to make it look that good.

very nice job!!!, yea vht red wrinkle paint is hard to find. I tried emailing vht paint on were to pick some up (vhtpaint.com) but no answer.

hey Danza, i dont know how he kept the lettering clean but i know lotion or vaseline are two things to wipe on the letters and paint wont stick, then theres the obvious which you could tape it off and cut the letters out with razor blade
